Dunston have 24 points from their 11 games and are currently in 5th place in the league and a win tonight could make them rise to 3rd place still with games in hand on the league leaders. Dunston fielded an unchanged side for their last game and ran out 1--‐0 winners against Whitley Bay, despite losing the services of Dale Burrell at halftime with an issue on his knee. Manger Billy Irwin will be keen for his team to continue another winning run after the previous run was ended in the FA cup defeat to Spennymoor and against Benfield in the the league especially after the recent 2--‐1 league cup victory against Consett at home.

Dunston started strongly putting pressure on to the Consett defence, but Consett showed their knowledge of the plastic pitch and had the first opportunity on 4 minutes as Piecha got a header in from a corner which Connell pawed wide, Dunston replied with a Harrison cross which was taken by Elliott in the Consett nets, closely followed by a Bulford shot which went wide of the far post.

Full time score: Consett 1 Dunston UTS 3
.
In truth Consett had most of the game but left their scoring boots at home despite Dunstons fitness they were constantly back tracking and defending well to limit Consett to long range shots, the first goal set Consett back but their continual long ball tactics tested Dunstons resolve. Dunston were caught cold after the break and suffered from Sullivans header to equalise, Consett again put pressure on but Dunston held firm and then with fresh legs and magic from Bulford they were ahead again with 2 well taken goals, which Consett could not reply to, for a hard earned 3 points and sent their supporters home with a warm feeling after a bitterly cold evening.
.
Dunston Man of the Match: Luke Gilhespy a king pin in defence for the whole game closely followed by the unselfish running of Andy Bulford up front who assisted for Jonny Wightman's goal and took his own goal and Dunstons third and decisive goal really well.
