Dunston travel to Marske for the second time this season to play in the league fixture. This promises to be a competitive game as Marske are currently in third and Dunston are in fourth. The Dunston side is still without Hodgson, Connell (injured), Halliday (flu) and Dan Smith (suspended) for the game but manager Billy Irwin will be hoping for an injury free game in preparation for next weeks game at Heanor Town in the FA Vase.

Dunston started the game with a strong wind behind them but with an organised Marske side it was not until the 7 minute that a Dale Burrell free kick on target was saved by the Marske keeper, battling against the wind Marske won a corner on 11 which was cleared by Coulson. On 13 a long free kick by Clark was met by Bulford but his header went wide. On 17, McAndrew tried a volley from 35 yards but it spooned over the bar. On 26, a Bulford free kick was saved by a diving Dean. Marske were battling against the conditions and on 35 O'Sullivan cross was taken by Clark to eliviate the threat.

On 39 Butterworth floated in a shot which was watched by Clark to go inches over the Dunston cross bar. A minute later McAndrew put in a cross and a Bulford header went straight to keeper Dean. On 42, Kane played in Bulford  with only the keeper to beat but his first time shot was saved by Dean. Two minutes later, Kane on the left wing fired a low cross come shot into the side netting. Just before the half time whistle the busy Kelly played in a low through ball but no one connected as it ran through to Clark.

Half Time Score 0-‐0

The windy conditions continued in the second half but it was not until the 55 minute when Gilhespy had to clear a Garvie cross and clear the danger. On 59, Dunston battling against the wind won a free kick and Harrison put in the shot come cross which Dean tipped over the bar to safety. A minute later a corner from Harison was headed onto Bulford whose header again was turned over the bar by Dean.

On 74 Garvie shot wide from 20 yards On 80, Kelly played in a short ball across the box to Garvie who shot over the bar from 8 yards. Dunston introduced Wilson to replace the hard working Bulford and on 84 McAndrew was unlucky as his run and shot went across goal and past the far post. On 85, Marskes' Johnson had a shot from 40 yards which went wide.

Two minutes before the end of normal time Wightman replaced Cattanach who limped off after a heavy tackle. Marske pressed hard for the remaining 6 minutes with the Dunston defence battling to contain them and reducing the chances of shots on target.
